Youth Work Week
Youth Work Week
November 1 7
During the first week of November, events are being held all over Wales as part of a national celebration of youth work called Youth Work Week.
These aren't events that will only take place for one week, though: the point of Youth Work Week is to make people aware of all the activities available to young people week in, week out all across Wales.
It's to show people they can learn new skills while they’re having fun, and that these can lead to qualifications and certificates like the Duke of Edinburgh Awards and even NVQs that can really help you later in life.
During Youth Work Week youth groups and projects all over the country will be showing people what they do.
There will be something for everyone: for the creative types there will be an abundance of music, arts & crafts, film-making and drama workshops. For the sporty types there'll be no shortage of outdoor activities. It’s all about having some fun with your mates, trying out new things and making new friends along the way.
To find out what’s going on near you, go to the website and click on the events page.
They say: While you’re browsing our site, take a look at our careers page too! So many young people have such a great time with us, they soon realise just how rewarding a career as a youth worker can be. So we have included a really informative careers pack for you to download. Check it out.

Well, at first I had a panic attack because people kept thanking me for something I didn't know about. Then when I found out why I relaxed a little. Not much going I'm sad to see :/

Thanks for explaining that Dan. I had no idea and actually thought the comment had gone with the wrong piece!
