#YourShout: What Would You Ask The Leader Of The Council?
We're after your questions for the person in charge of Cardiff, Cllr Phil Bale.
Did you know that Cardiff has a ten-year plan to become the most liveable city in Europe?
Cardiff's What Matters Strategy is essentially a giant to-do list for Cardiff Council.
It involves lots of people working together to improve aspects of our everyday lives, through the Cardiff Partnership.
The plan is to ensure that:
- People in Cardiff are healthy
- People in Cardiff have a clean, attractive and sustainable environment
- People in Cardiff are safe and feel safe
- Cardiff has a thriving and prosperous economy
- People in Cardiff achieve their full potential
- Cardiff is a great place to live, work and play; and
- Cardiff is a fair, just and inclusive society
Well, the democratic-minded people at the City Council are reviewing this plan and - you guessed it - they'd like to hear from you. TheSprout has teamed up with the Cardiff Partnership and will be doing a series of interviews with the leaders of Cardiff's main institutions, and they want the questions to be yours, as people who breathe the air of this promising, growing city.
So far we've interviewed Chief Superintendent Belinda Davies of South Wales Police on keeping people safe and feeling safe in Cardiff and Maria Battle, Chair of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board on how we make sure that 'People in Cardiff are healthy', whose responses make for interesting reading with such a wide range of health issues being raised (and yes we have we have a Zombie Apocalypse plan).
We are now inviting questions for an interview with Phil Bale, Leader of the City of Cardiff Council on how we can make sure that 'Cardiff is a great place to live, work and play'. We want to hear about what matters to you. If you have a question that you would like to have answered please let us know.
Questions need to be submitted by Sunday 4th October 2015 to whatmatters@cardiff.gov.uk
Otherwise, you can leave them in the comments section below, at facebook.com/theSprout.co.uk or tweet us @FeedTheSprout.
Check back for more information on the next interview and to read the responses from Councillor Bale.
