The Welsh Government has asked Participation Cymru to put a panel of young people together to have their say on how Social Services in Wales can be better. The children and young people’s Citizen Panel for Social Services is your chance to say what you think - your ideas can help make services in the country work better!

We’re looking for people who get support from Social Services, who care for someone who gets support from Social Services, or who are interested in Social Services.

We really want to hear from you if you would like to take part. We especially want to hear from people who are:

  • Disabled
  • Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender
  • From Black Minority Ethnic communities
  • With a religious faith or belief
  • Young carers
  • Looked after children

You will need to:

  • Share what you think about Social Services
  • Give ideas and say how you think Social Services can be better across Wales
  • Go to three panel meetings in the year
  • Take part in training in the panel meetings
  • Keep what other panel members say about themselves private

The Children and Young People’s Panel will meet from 6pm – 8.30pm on:

Tuesday 16th October in North Wales
Wednesday 24th October in South West Wales
Thursday 25th October in South East Wales

We will let you know where these will be held as soon as possible. We will pay for your expenses so that you can take part and food will be provided.

Call 029 2043 1757 or email participationcymru@wcva.org.uk for an application pack, or alternatively visit www.participationcymru.org.uk/home/citizen-panels-for-social-services-in-wales.

Join the panel and get your voice heard!
