As part of What Matters (the Council's 10 year plan for Cardiff) the Children and Young Peoples’ Partnership have developed a plan which outlines their intent and priorities for all children and young people in Cardiff. In a nutshell, this is a plan to specifically support you.

To ensure that your views and needs are represented within this plan a group of young people called Llygaid Y Ddinas have been working hard to get your input (read more about this process here).

In the wider picture for Cardiff there are seven key outcomes that have been identified to improve the lives of all people throughout the city. Llygaid Y Ddinas have reworded these seven points to make them specifically relevant to young people. In order to achieve each of these points they've come up with a list of actions. The idea being, if these actions are carried out, the outcomes will be met.

Now, this is where you come in...

Have a look at the outcomes and actions below and leave your comments. Do you agree with these actions? Do you think they will achieve the outcomes? Is there anything else that you can think of?

Sounds like a great plan if they can achieve what they want to. I have no idea how you go about making youth clubs a 'cool' place to go though. My local one has videogames and pool tables, and in winter football and basketball. Pretty fun place to go with your mates I guess, but I imagine that one is well funded compared to some...
