Young People Shape Services In South East Cardiff
Over 100 young people in the South East of the City have taken part in a wide-ranging consultation regarding youth support services in their area.
The research has been carried out by the Ministry Of Life after being commissioned by Cardiff Youth Service over the last two months. It asked young people their views on where, when and how youth support services should run in the area.
The final report has now been written in readiness for the new financial year and the Youth Service Management and other workers in the area are using the data to develop services based on the young people’s views.
James Healan, Youth Development Officer for Cardiff Youth Service said, "It’s paramount that services involve young people in their development and planning. This will go a long way to assist workers in the area to develop programmes of work that meet the needs of the young people and the wider community."
