It seems strange to me that the only act to get booed on stage is still in the competition with it approaching round four.  John and Edward seem like nice people to me, don’t get me wrong they’re extremely annoying, like when one of those big flies gets stuck in your room or in the car.  But the thing that gets me is the simple fact that these lads cannot sing to save their lives.  I can possibly understand them making it this far in Britain’s Got Talent, for that is a talent show where the primary key is entertainment.

X-Factor however is a singing competition, is it not?  The Irish duo, can no doubt entertain the population, but not with a good vocal performance. It’s more the opposite, like one of those old comedies, which is so dire it’s good.  But the X-Factor is trying to find good singers, who have a chance to sell records in the real world.  These boys have no chance of doing this.

There seems to be a single place in the X-Factor finalists that must be filled each year, the annoying act.  In 2006 the McDonald Brothers filled this slot, with them annoying Simon Cowell week in, week out.  Then 2007 saw Same Difference hit the stage, their hyperactive love of life seemed to annoy some people including Louis Walsh and this year it seems that John and Edward have filled this position, with a slightly cocky attitude that has torn the nation in two.  These acts usually have half the nation supporting them and half not.  They’re just like marmite; you either love it or hate it.  However speaking around with people I know, most seem to hate John and Edward, I mean people obviously find them annoying enough to do the Anti-Christ of live shows and shout "boo".

This is why I think it’s a bit of a mystery why they’re still there.  Firstly they can’t sing.  They can entertain, but X-Factor is about singing.

Secondly they seem to be overwhelmingly disliked, of course there will be those of you who love the twins, but correct me if I’m wrong, most people seem to dislike them.  It would be ok if they could sing and people found them annoying, like the McDonald bro’s and Same Difference......but the really can’t!

This is why I think X-Factor must be fixing this year’s results, for John and Edward can’t sing and don’t seem to be that popular, so how can they reach round four?  The acts that have to go in-order to keep the twins in, are good singers and could possibly stand a chance of selling records, I mean Miss Frank had a different style and I thought there could be a gap for them in the market somewhere, but they’ve been the latest casualty of the John and Edward rampage, going out last week.

John and Edward seem like good guys, more than slightly annoying but they’re in the wrong competition.
