Will Tevez Leave?
WORDS: Sam Warner
Diego Maradona, the football legend from Buenos Aires and current coach of the Argentine national team , has insisted that Carlos Tevez leave Manchester United for Inter Milan.
Since the arrival of Dimitar Berbatov, Tevez has been used mostly as a substitute and has only started eight games this year.
Tevez is currently in the last year of his two year loan to Man U, but has stated that his preference is to stay at Old Trafford.
However, Media Sports Investments holds the rights to Tevez, and they have yet to come to an agreement with Manchester United. This makes the future of Tevez unlikely at Old Trafford.
As coach of the Argentine National Team, Maradona does not like that one of his key players is sitting on the bench. 2009 will be a key for Argentina in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup in Africa, and Maradona wants Tevez in top form.
Since becoming the coach of the Argentine Selection, Maradona has taken a greater interest in the national team's players, ensuring they are at the top of their game.
He recently suggested that Sergio Agero, the star player for Atltico Madrid, consider moving to Inter Milan as well.
