TheSprout's LGBT+ History Of Cardiff In 5 Objects
At the end of last year, the Cardiff Story museum gave theSprout access to all of their LGBT+-related objects and one of our young volunteers used them to make a short documentary film about the history of the LGBT+ community and movement in Cardiff.
If you click on the video to the right, you'll recognise famous landmarks, lay eyes on some special artefacts and hear a truly amazing story - one that you may not have heard before - about our city.
Unfortunately, our site was offline when the video was published on 9th December 2014 (to install security upgrades), so we couldn't get it up then - sorry about that.
However, we've decided to publish it at the start of February to mark the start of LGBT History Month. We're also changing our Sprout logo colours from black and white to rainbow-coloured! If you want to understand the importance of the rainbow colours, watch the video!
If you'd like to make reports like this for us, why not submit something to thesprout.co.uk? All written things can be submitted here and all videos can be emailed to sam@thesprout.co.uk or tom@thesprout.co.uk. Anyone aged 11-25 can do so, and you'll reach our 16,000 regular monthly viewers!
If you'd like the best review and reporting opportunities, you can join our Sprout Editorial Group for free - there's no minimum commitment required, just opportunities if you want to take them.
