The awards have been postponed until the summer

TheSprout Awards are back.

The 2015 edition is happening on Thursday 26th March in The Abacus.

TheSprout Awards are a celebration of everything that's happened since the last awards in August 2013 and are a great excuse for a bit of a party.

But before we can dole out some awards we need some nominees!

Below are the awards categories and you can either write something new for them or nominate something that has already been published - and yes you can nominate your own work!

TheSprout Awards 2015 Categories

Best Sprouter (Best overall contributor to TheSprout.co.uk since August 2013)
Best Newcomer (Joined since the nominations closed for the last awards ceremony - i.e since Sunday 18th August 2013)
Most Useful Article (Local info or advice or something that changed your view on a subject... useful stuff!)
Best Creative Article (Poem, short story, serial etc.)
Most Controversial Article
Best Review (Film, theatre, restaurant, music, game, sports, you know reviews of stuff)
Funniest Article Of The Year
Reader's Choice (For articles that you just like and maybe they don't really fit anywhere else)
Lord Of The Comments (Who leaves the best comments? Or maybe one comment in particular stands out?)
Most Viewed

As these are the 2015 Awards, anything published before Sunday 18th August 2013 is ineligible (it should have been nominated for the last awards in 2013 Awards!).

How To Nominate

If it's a new piece of work that you've written then pop the category you want to enter it into at the top of your article when you submit it to TheSprout.co.uk in the usual manner.

For articles already up on the site or for user nominations you've got three options, either:

Comment below with the link/URL to the article, the username and the category (if you're happy for people to know who or what you've nominated)
Email the link/URL to the article, the username and the category to Tom@TheSprout.co.uk (if you want to keep it secret)
Or message us on our Facebook page

You've got until Thursday 19th February 2015 to get your nominations in. You can nominate anything published on TheSprout since Sunday 18th August 2013 (that's not a typo, you've got the whole of 2014 and a bit of 2013 and 2015 to choose from), you can nominate as many articles as you want in as many categories as you want. We'll then whittle them down to a shortlist and then we'll have a vote on the site to decide the winners.
