The Pain Of A Lost Child: Chapter Twenty

Author's Note: - Sorry it's been a while but I completely forgot about my story, I know I can't believe it either, hope you're enjoying it as we still have a while to go, in total there are 26 chapters and an epilogue.

“Annie my love I’m so proud of you!”

“Oh Rob I know, I know just how you feel OK?”

“Hmm, I love you so much Annie.”

Rob and Annie waited until they were given the all clear and Rob was told that he could take his wife and new baby daughter home. Rob had to get some jeans and a t-shirt for Annie from a nearby shop, as she couldn’t really wear just her silk gown any more. When he came back they were given the all clear and were told they could go so Annie quickly shrugged herself into the clothes and Rob took her home.

Annie had fallen asleep in the car on the way home and so when Rob pulled up outside the house he silently got out of the car, walked round to Annie and shook her slightly to awaken her.

“Mmm what is it Rob?” Annie answered with a small smile on her face, her eyes still closed.

“Annie we’re home now,” he said lightly and she opened her eyes slowly and when she saw him her smile grew. She turned her head to look at their daughter who was sound asleep in her car seat. She turned back to Rob and smiled again, she then un-clipped her seat belt, swung her legs out and pushed herself up out of the car.

Rob had moved and opened the back car door and was about to pick up their sleeping daughter but Annie got there first; she picked up Becca from the back of the car, as Rob had left the door open for her, and cradled her to her chest and nudged the door closed with her hip. She looked up at Rob and smiled then she rose up onto her tip toes and brushed her lips over his, slipped her tongue out of her mouth to run it along his full bottom lip, then nipped it slightly before turning away and walking toward the house. She turned back to him and tilted her head to the side so her long brown locks flew around from her back and over her shoulder, she smiled at him with a teasing smile and then looked deep in his eyes before asking, “Rob aren’t you coming, to celebrate with me?” She smiled as he started to walk toward her with a big smug smile on his handsome face

“You bet I’m coming Annie,” he kissed her briefly on the mouth then cupped her cheek “we’re going to put this little one down for the night then I’m gonna show you just how much I love you!” he said then wrapped his arm around her waist, his hand on her hip urging her to go inside.
