The Ideal Image?
Young people, male and female, are being put under constant pressure to look how the media says they are supposed to look.
Style and fashion icons are the suggested images of what a teenager should be, and what some may want to be; Young people face a constant battle about their weight and their looks, which can bring out their biggest insecurities.
Are models to blame? From their stick-thin bodies to their striking beauty, they are found by agencies and moulded like plasticine. Behind the press, the money, and the stunning looks, is a world of pain and drama.
Perhaps they lives aren’t as easy and perfect as everyone thinks; they are also put under pressure to look like what is expected. Is anyone prepared to change what is beauty? With the UK spending £2 billion every year on plastic surgery, I'm not so sure.
When the world decides to change their opinions on what is beauty, maybe the death-toll caused by anorexia will go down.
