The Amazon Rainforest Crisis

It's is a well-known fact that trees help us to breathe.

Without them we wouldn't be here, but with us they are slowly dying out.

It is said that every few seconds the size of three football pitches worth of trees is cut down in the Amazon. At this rate - they won't last long.

We all know that if we don't have trees the human race will die - as will every other oxygen breathing creature - so why are we chopping them all down? Why are we racing the clock to kill our own - and ourselves - in the most brutal way possible? Suffocation.

For the next generation, it is important that we keep the trees here. Without them, the next generation will never know the beauty of sunlight beaming through leaves, the enchanting colours of autumn, the Christmas trees decorated from head to toe. To keep these memories running for years to come - we need to take action. We need to stand up for this major crisis.

The Amazon is being replaced by measly sugar cane - a cheap crop that we don't benefit from.

We need to do something now - before it's too late!

And this is going to make a difference, how? Why don't you complain to the government?

For God's sake, stop being so negative and rude about other people's work. They have spent time and effort on it and do not need you telling them its stupid, pointless or unnecessary. On about the last 6 articles I have read you have left a nasty or negative comment. If I have did this to you, you would not feel good-in fact, you would probably just reply back to me with a rant paragraph. Grow up. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

AEP99 - I am not being negative on this article, nor the other articles thank you very much. I am giving my opinion which is what the comments section is for. Who are you to tell me not to comment? You don't own the website! YOU have replied to my first comment with a rant paragraph. Grow up and get some manners! I am just saying that everyone has heard about this stuff, haven't you? I hear this stuff all the time. You shouldn't be telling me I can't comment, and plus, it was obviously moderated which means it was suitable to be put up.

Sean 123. I apologize for the comment I posted yesterday. I shouldn't have said what I did
