Breaking News! SproutZine, issue 2 is out now!

Early this week, we had 26,000 copies of the newest SproutZine delivered to our doors. Two days later, the boxes were loaded into the back of a van and delivered to schools and youth clubs all over Cardiff. So, if you haven’t had one yet, make sure you get your copy!

This issue was created by a group of people from the Sprout editorial group. We had lots of meetings and deliberated over tea and chocolate Hobnobs in the ProMo-Cymru headquarters. There were lots of umms, oh’s and wicked’s until we finally came up with the finished prototype. We had the artwork, the content and everything we needed, but it was hard to imagine that this little book stuck together with sellotape and staples was actually going to become the next SproutZine.

I guarded this prototype with my life, slept with it under my pillow and took it everywhere I went. I slept with one eye open, constantly looked over my shoulder and avoided anyone that looked even remotely ninja like (which is surprisingly a great deal of people). I was sure that someone was onto us. These ideas in the wrong hands could mean our masterpiece being leaked to the masses and sold for millions, so I had to keep my wits about me.

Anyway, the day finally came where I took this little crumpled book to Burning Red, where a very clever man called Carl turned our ideas into a reality.

So, finally, I am proud to announce that the Zine is here and it looks amazing! It's full of news, views and opinions and even contains a competition exclusive to the Zine! If you want to get hold of a copy ask at your school reception desks or local youth clubs. Alternatively, you can pick one up from the SproutZine2, launch party that we’re having at Grassroots on the 5th of August.
