SproutZine 4
It's all very exciting here at theSprout HQ as SproutZine4 is currently in production. The SproutZine is theSprout's little magazine that's printed twice a year and goes out to all schools, youth clubs, doctors surgeries, libraries, cafes and other local venues.
We had our first SproutZine4 meeting last Thursday and it was decided that there would be content on music, creative writing, sport, fashion and events.
So here's the exciting bit.. we are looking for contributions from you!
There are a few ways to get involved:
1. Design a front cover.
We're looking for someone to help design the front cover. You can either design the whole cover yourself or come up with a design idea that our designers can create. There will be a prize for the best idea, so get your thinking cap on. Design ideas need to be sent to arielle@thesprout.co.uk by December 16th.
2. Help us to write the double page spread 'Cardiff On A Rugby International Day'.
This issues' double page spread will be about the affect that rugby international games have on the city. So if you're watching the game this weekend (Wales V Australia at the Millenium Stadium), or you're planning on going into town, we'd like you to choose one element of the day to write about. For example, why not write a piece about how the streets are filled with red shirts, or the local face painters and street traders, or even about the impact on the shops, restaurants and bars?
We want to paint a picture of 'Cardiff on a match day' from all different perspectives. We only need between 50 and 200 words per piece and/ or a photo.
