Hello, SproutNews Correspondent Simdude here. Coming up:

**Nigerian girls kidnapped: 200 school girls have been abducted by militants in Nigeria.

**Afghanistan: British forces leave last outpost in Helmand, Afghanistan.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, first. 200 school girls have been abducted by militants in Nigeria, Africa. The Islamic group, Boko Haram have been blamed for taking the girls from their school in Chibok, Borno state. The girls were taken on the 16th April, 2014. UK and US Agencies have gone into the country to help with the search to find the girls.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Secondly, British forces have pulled out of their final outpost in Helmand province, Afghanistan. The post was a secret, remote listening station on a hill west of their main post, Camp Bastion. For a few more months Camp Bastion will stay operating, but then it too will close, bringing the last of our troops home for Afghanistan. After this, Helmand province, and the rest of Afghanistan, will be back under control by Afghan forces. The British and US armies' presence has helped transform Afghanistan into a stable state for the future. However, for now, troops still continue to go out on active service and they still have 40% of their vehicles to decontaminate and clean before they are brought home!
