Hi everyone! I am Souheila, a 28-year-old French volunteer from Metz, a lovely town in the northeast of France. I am doing the European Voluntary Service (EVS) in Wales!

This is the first time I've come to the UK! I am so pleased to live and work in Cardiff. The diversity of this city is incredibly exciting and spending time working among people of another culture is really amazing.

After my studies in communication and foreign languages, I was looking for challenges that can improve my abilities. EVS offers me the opportunity to find a project that really fits me. It is an European Commission’s project that allows young people (18-30 years) to do volunteering in an other country. For example, the activities can be in the field of art, environment, sport, leisure, activities with children and young people…

I am working with ProMo-Cymru on the Meic project, which is the national advocacy, information and advice helpline for children and young people in Wales. This seems to be the perfect place to learn a lot and meet outstanding people.

If you want to live an amazing experience abroad, the EVS is made for you. It is up to you, young people!

You can read more about EVS here.

Bonjour Sou :)
Bienvenue à Cardiff!
I'm currently applying to do EVS in a theatre in Paris, so I'd love to come and speak with you about your experience, and maybe speak a little French xD

Got something to say?
