Smoking-related diseases kill over 100,000 people a year and that's just in the UK!

Smoking has harmful side effects like:

  • Strokes
  • Cancer
  • Chest pains
  • High blood pressure

I know a lot of people who smoke - my parents, my brother, my nan, aunties and uncles and even my friends. I hate the fact that my parents smoke and I would love for them to stop but they have been smoking for a very long time and I know that they will probably never will stop... that doesn't mean they can't though.

A lot of people my age smoke and they all care about their looks and stuff like that and I'm pretty sure they know that smoking makes your teeth rot, your fingernails go yellow and you get loads of spots but they still do it!

Anyway, my point is that cigarettes are drugs and even though they are legal doesn't mean they don't harm your body. Lots of people die from smoking and you may think just because you know lots of old people who are healthy and smoke doesn't mean you're going to be one of them!

Please stop smoking before it's too late!
