Roxe Jam

In January, graffiti artist Bill Lockwood aka Roxe was tragically killed aged just 15. As a tribute to his love of hip-hop, a festival has been set up a memory, combining hip hops 4 elements: rapping, dj'ing, graffiti art and breakdancing. Roxe jam will take place over three days and is overseen by the Roxe foundation, a community organization set up by Bill's family and friends to host youth art projects. Kaptin, one of the artists involved hopes Roxe Jam will provide a platform for Welsh talent and reinforce hip-hop as a medium for creative expression.

On Friday, calighans will feature Optimus prime, Dj Jaffa, and beatbox fozzy.

In seven Oaks park, 12-8pm, a legal wall has been set up for under 16s to practice graffiti skills.

On Sunday, breakdancing workshops and perfomances will take place in Cathays community center, from 12-7pm, and is open to anyone who wants to join in.
