Words: Rosaria Sgueglia.

Last Sunday Welsh fashionistas went crazy at the Blind Lemon Vintage Fashion Fair in Cardiff.

So many people gathered at City Hall to take a look at the beautiful vintage stands, where everything from accessories to jewellery and dresses were available to grab, try and buy.

theSprout had a quick chat with Gail Lewis who’s been in the vintage business for twenty five years. She showed us a beautiful wedding dress made in 1840 and told theSprout, “The person who sold me this dress told me that it was her great grandmother’s, personally I wouldn’t have ever sold it. It’s too beautiful.”

Walking around we also met Plump Pudding owners, Samantha and Maggie who create pretty accessories by using vintage fabrics, buttons, etc.

“I made these rings with vintage buttons but we tend to use several elements such as for example vintage blankets,” says Maggie and may we add that the final results are fabulous. Plump Pudding make trendy accessories somewhere between craft and vintage.

If you love vintage and you missed this one make sure not to miss the next Cardiff Vintage Fashion Fair in February. For further info click here
