Is Tropical are a fairly new band who released their dbut album Native To last month. Even though they are quite new lots of people seem to love them, having had a tremendous outcome when posting The Greeks on YouTube; it got over two million views within the first couple of weeks.

Hailing from London, Is Tropical are unique in having a variety of different styles in their music depending on what song you listen to. At first I found myself not too keen on the band, however the more I listen to them, the more I warm to them.

One of my favourite songs is South Pacific. I find it really upbeat and interesting to listen to especially with the soft lyrics behind it. In contrast to this song is The Greeks. This one is slightly more techno but still really good. To check out more songs by Is Tropical head to their YouTube channel.

The band are fascinating me. The music they play is really different to my usual preferred bands such as Lostprophets, Coldplay, My Chemical Romance, From First To Last and Bullet For My Valentine, so I am quite surprised to find myself liking these guys.

I strongly recommend you go and see them when they come to Cardiff. It's not much to get in either - what's £6 when you get to see a cool and unique band like this?

Is Tropical are playing in Clwb Ifor Bach on Wednesday 21st September at 7pm. Click here to get your tickets now.

I wouldn't want to be the one to miss this, would you?
