Poem: Me
Free me from this trap I’m in,
protect me from the rain.
Help me see just who I am,
shield me from their words.
I stand alone, though I’m surrounded,
it’s always been that way.
A crazy laugh a loud loud voice,
but it’s not real, it’s fake.
I make a joke a funny comment,
but that’s not how I’m feeling.
You’ll never know the real Gabriella,
besides you wouldn’t like her.
I may hide behind my sacred shield,
but one sword penetrates it.
Free me from this trap I’m in,
protect me from my rain.
Help me see just who I am,
shield me from my words.
