  • School's Out For Summer

We climb the stairs
Enter the rooms
For the last time
This year
Until the next

The lessons are free
We draw
Watch DVDs
Listen to music
Play games

The T-shirts are signed
The school forbids it
We do it anyway
Leave our mark
On another persons life

At lunch we talk
"Where are you going?"
"Wanna do something?"
"Sure sounds great,
Can't wait."

Freedom creeps upon us
The teachers can't control us
Can't restrain us
Half an hour
And we are free.

Twenty minutes
Fifteen
Ten
Five
One...

At last!
It rings!
The end of term!
The cheers resound
As it signals our freedom

The hugs
The tears
"See you next year!"s
"Have a great time!"
"I'll see you soon!"

Summer anthems
Suitcases,
Countries abroad,
Look out
Here we come!
