Poem: Bullying - What It Can Cause
Bruised skin, raised lumps and cuts.
Torn hair, busted up lips and torture.
Name calling, mental and physical abuse.
Cyber, social and verbal.
What is the point in bullying?
Tears, soft and warm trickle down my cheeks at night.
I sob lightly into my pillow, where no one can hear me.
I'm distraught; I don't know who to go to.
Who will listen to a sorry pathetic me?
What is the point in bullying?
I'm hurt, weak and isolated.
I feel pain and remorse.
I wish I had someone to turn to,
To help me with my troubles.
What is the point in bullying?
I curl up at night, all alone, wishing it wasn't me.
Why is it me? Why is it anyone?
Do bullies have problems themselves?
Or do they just enjoy the pain that they cause others?
What is the point in bullying?
After time spent, on thoughts and research,
I see my way out.
It's not hurting myself or even ending my life,
But talking to people who do care.
I realise that now, there are people out there,
People like CAB, Meic and ChildLine.
These are all people who can help me,
Make me a stronger better person.
They make me see that there is another way-
Another way of living a better life.
I will always remember now,
That no matter how much the voices tempt me,
I will go to these people,
I will trust these people,
And eventually I will have solace.
