A little girl, a little boy
On their own, without a toy
Try and escape but their parents are clever
When they come home they lock them in the cellar

A little girl, a little boy
Their parents go out,
Get drunk no doubt
When they come home late at night
They give their children a very big fright

A little girl, a little boy
Dad slaps and hits, Mum does the same
And it’s always the children that get the blame
Why don’t you help them, save them from death
And don’t let the little child take their last breath.
