9/11, as you most probably already know, was a series of co-ordinated terrorist attacks perpetrated by al-Qaeda operatives against the USA that occurred on September 11th 2001.

At 8:46 a.m, American Airlines Flight 11 was crashed into the World Trade Center's North Tower, followed by United Airlines Flight 175 which hit the South Tower at 9:03 a.m. American Airlines Flight 77 was flown into The Pentagon at 9.37am, while United Airlines Flight 93 crashed outside Shanksville, Pennsylvania at 10.03am. It is believed that intended target for Flight 93's was The White House or The Capitol, before a fight between the passengers and the hijackers broke out and crashed prematurely.

2,995 people including the passengers, the hijackers, the people working at the World Trade Centre and The Pentagon, passers-by and emergency workers, from ninety different countries died that day.

Many conspiracies theories have been disseminated since. One states that the President of the United States of America, George W. Bush, had prior knowledge of the attack.

There is a documentary film about 9/11 made by Michael Moore called Fahrenheit 9/11. In the film I was shocked about how careless President Bush looked when he got informed about the attack. Fifteen minutes after it was clear the USA was under a terrorist attack, Bush remained sat down in a classroom with young children to begin a pre-planned photo-opportunity.

I thought it'd be a good idea to write about this because people still talk about the attack today and younger generations will need to find out about what happened on September 11th 2001. Next year will be the tenth anniversary of the attacks.
