Everybody is cordially invited to a fundraising event on May 11th at Sainsbury’s restaurant on Colchester Avenue. It is in aid of the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust, the largest charity in the UK dedicated to funding research into brain tumours. Since 1996 the Trust has raised almost ten million pounds and that money goes to supporting thousands of patients, families and carers, as well as research. The event, called ‘Rhys’s Pieces’, is being organised by Rhys Stapleton, an Art graduate of The University of Glamorgan.

If you come you can expect a tea party with a difference - as well as tea, coffee and cake there will be an art auction/sale with miniature works donated by Glamorgan Uni art students, Techniquest staff and local professional artists from VOGA.

It would be great if you could make it down, whether it’s for some tea and cake or to buy some presents for yourself or others. If you are a baking maestro it would be fantastic if you could bring down some cakes for us to sell!

Hope to see lots of you there!

I take it the organiser is basing his name on the American peanut butter chocolate products Reese's Pieces... yum!

Anytime between 6 and 8 this evening drop by Sainsburys for art and cake! I know there are already some delicious homemade cakes made, and some great original pieces of art that will appeal to all ages and tastes!

Got something to say?
