Loud and Proud's 1st Birthday Party!
Loud & Proud (LGBT) provision is celebrating its 1st Birthday! To celebrate the occasion we're holding a Birthday party this Saturday (10th July) from 2pm until 5pm. There will be loads going on including arts & crafts, cooking, music and we'll even get the Wii out on the big screen.
Loud & Proud has been working hard with LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) young people in the city centre and we would like to increase the number of young people using the provision. It has been noted that there is a need for Loud & Proud to be here, but if no-one is using the service it could be lost in the future.
Here is what some of the young people in Loud and Proud say about the group:
'Finding Loud and Proud helped me to come to terms with my sexuality and come out to my family and friends.'
'It's somewhere that you can freely express your feelings, without being judged.'
This event coincides with the launch of a new LGBT sex and relationships booklet that the provision have put together, so make sure you get your copy!
