Little Boy Lost

  • Lost Child

The little boy all alone in the field,
He cries out for his mother,
Two unsuspecting lovers consumed by the pain of loss,
They walk the field together and alone,
Thrown apart by the phone,
The girl wanders and watches the nearby sheep,
The boy so lost in the pain and grief,
And then a miracle of such is uncovered,
To help them find an end to the pain they weep,
A baby lost and a baby found,
They listen to that saddened sound,
She found a lamb stuck by the ground,
Picked him up and joy was re-found,
They held him, fed him and gave him a name,
They gave him a family and a home,
After many photos were taken they sought advice,
As she wanted to keep the second chance of new life,
A chance of using her mothering instinct,
And yet it was not to be,
As they took him back,
And again what was lost was now found,
As mother sheep and lamb were re-bound.

This is a really nice poem. I guess it's known as bitter-sweet? Where it's so lovely yet so sad... I really enjoyed reading this.

Keep up the good work! :)
