Yn Gymraeg

Have you discovered The Hostages yet?

Is there anything you'd like to ask a Welsh band on the cusp of stardom?

But firstly, were you at the CLIC Battle Of The Bands 2010?

The final was held in Presidents' Lounge at the Millennium Stadium in September, where five bands whittled down through online voting competed for the crown.

Judges included ex-Funeral For A Friend guitarist, Darran Smith, and Exit International frontman, Scott Lee Andrews.

There could be only one winner, as the cliche goes, and they were The Hostages, an energetic four-piece from Rhayader in Mid Wales.

Their list of prizes included recording time at Stir Studios courtesy of us at CLIC, a professional photoshoot with Alex Mills, a video shoot with Burning Red, and even some lovely Blue Banana goodie bags.

All of which (apart from the goodie bags, we imagine) has gone towards the release of their debut single, Rolling Circus, which is out on Monday 21 March, and comes with a pretty twisted video featuring a pretty twisted clown.

We would like to promote the heck out of the single and help get the lads the kickstart they deserve on the road to festival headlining glory, and next week we will be publishing an interview with them.

However, we'd like your help with the questions. What would you like to ask the band? Anything (within reason!) goes. Post your comment as a question below, or email it to ryan@cliconline.co.uk, and be part of the Mid Wales music revolution.

I tried to interview the band after their win. They agreed, then ignored all the emails I sent them! Obviously you're more important Ryan :p

Ahh sorry Neil. I sent you an email probably about a month ago asking if you were still keen. It must of got lost in internet space.
Sorry about that. If you're still up for one, don't hesitate to get in touch :).

Perhaps you could pick back up on this then Neil and write the feature?

What ever happened to your old drummer? I thought he had real potential, and his talent will be sorely missed by all of you in your pursuit of fame.

haha! Definitely didn't see that comment leading to that. No, I didn't get that email Jimi, sorry! I should have followed up at some point probably... I'm happy to write something, but if people are going to post questions here then isn't the work done anyway?
I can post a couple of the questions I had planned to ask though?

What's been your favourite live gig so far, and your worst?
Which albums would you send into space as examples of amazing music (apart from your own obviously)?

Got something to say?
