Hey guys! If you have read my recent articles you'll know that I am having a hard time. I thought to myself that I needed something to do to take my mind of it all!

I tried writing songs but they all annoyed me because the lyrics were always about them!

I tried writing books but the main character always seems to be related to me and it upsets me.

So I sat...
And I thought...
And then I looked at my mother...

My mum was happily sat there knitting away and I thought I should give that a go.

I am OK at knitting now and I have run out of pattern ideas, so I was going to ask you guys for help.

Has anyone come across any good knitting patterns?

My fiance is a big knitter and always seems to get her patterns off a site called Ravelry.

Whenever I do knitting, I enjoy doing a row of 5 knit, 5 perl, followed by a row of 5 perl, 5 knit. Do this for 5 rows, then switch to 5 perl, 5 knit followed by 5 knit, 5 perl. It's nice and easy, a good way to keep your hands busy.

Alternatively, you could try finger-knitting, there are plenty of tutorials on youtube, and it's one of the most stress-relieving activities I've ever found

Hope these help :)
