A long term art and activism project, exploding media stereotypes and the political marginalisation of the young.

Bryony Kimmings are looking for young men aged 18-25 to join in The Boys Project

The project gives young men the unique opportunity to receive professional training to develop hard skills, employment opportunities and help develop you in to artists.

This project aims to help you identity with your unique political and artistic voices through 1-2-1 training and mentoring. The large-scale art-focused social campaign sets real life targets of political and social change.

In brief, the project will help you embark on viral media, mainstream music, public art disturbance and social campaign over a six month period that will directly challenge and change the ways in which young working class men are stereotyped, vilified, abused and misinterpreted by both the government and mainstream media in the UK.

However, before you can embark on this project they will endure 12 months of rigorous training - This will include;

  • learning how to make a documentary
  • contributing to a wider education project
  • and performing in a mid-scale touring theatre work

"I'd say this project is worth getting involved in. It gives the little guys that society never wants to see or hear a voice to speak out loudly and proudly. It gives us a chance to be seen in a brighter light, not shadowed paint. It introduced me to the Royal Court where I am working right now." Jerome Mitchell, London participant

The next lads recruitment days:

  • Saturday 20th February 2016, 10:30am Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff
  • Thursday 25th February 2016, 6:30pm Royal Court Theatre, London
  • Wednesday 3rd March 2016, 7pm West Yorkshire Playhouse
