It Does Not Do Well To Dwell On Dreams (Version 2)

We're all so keen to grow up and for what?
I don't want to sell my soul to men who hide behind dead eyes.

Why is it that the only people that seem to understand me,
Exist only in fiction?
"It does not do well to dwell on dreams."
Now forget your past and learn to let live.

Admitting defeat is not a crime
But giving up is not an option!

Please don't give in.

Life is not about who we were born
But what we can overcome.
I have no sympathy for a coward
Who will stand with me and fight what this world has become?

From the moment I was born I have done nothing but scream
And even in my darkest of days
There is still a light that gleams.

A light that searches not for your or His forgiveness
But for hope, acceptance and just some f***ing change.
