International Volunteers in Wales
The 1st of October was a BIG day, for the seven European Voluntary Service
(EVS) volunteers, who arrived in Wales to challenge themselves in many different types of projects.
Keen to know, who they are? Please greet and hug:
Joanna from Portugal (Portuguese support in Merthyr Tydfil)
Sofie from Belgium (Info Shop in Merthyr Tydfil)
Jan from Slovakia (Dare Valley Country Park in Aberdare)
Jaqualine from Germany (Polish support in Merthyr Tydfil)
Lucia from Italy (Youth Inclusion Project (YIP) in Merthyr Tydfil)
Jules from Germany (Youth centre in Merthyr Tydfil)
Vaida from Lithuania (ProMo Cymru in Cardiff)
The hosting organization, UNA EXCHANGE prepared a very warm welcome and did everything to make the start of our eleven month stay in Wales excellent exciting, remarkable, and a truly life changing experience. (so far!)
EVS is an opportunity for everyone. If you are between 18 and 30 and want to volunteer in another European country for between two months and one year, then the European EVS programme may well be suited to you. Through the EVS programme you can volunteer in any European country and, increasingly, in other areas of the world too.
Interested? Don’t wait ? just do it! Seven different personalities from all across Europe came to Wales to share their ideas, contribute to local communities, create positive energy, develop skills, to live and experience different culture, and much, much more. Let’s experience all that together!
