Hey! I'm a person who really loves ice skating and I want to share it all with you.

Firstly if you have ever been ice skating before you are probably pretty interested! Well ice skating is a sport that requires three main attributes; concentration, speed and balance. You need the concentration so you don't slip and hurt yourself, we need the speed to develop a pace and not to go slow, and lastly the balance which sort of links in with the concentration just so you don't fall.

I have a few tips which maybe will help boost your confidence in ice skating. First of all when you get on the ice, start doing slow walking steps and then as you gradually get better at it, start pushing with one foot and start gliding off. As soon as you have done that you can then pick up the speed and most definitely continue to get better and impress yourself.

Once you have been a few times you might be able to spin, skate backwards etc.. I have been about seven or eight times and I can only spin, stop properly and go fast. Skating backwards is an advanced skill, which many people find difficult including me. I wanted to share this with anyone who is going ice skating for the first time, so that you get a good idea of how to set off and be careful.
