Help The Homeless This Christmas

Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a home at Christmas.

Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity, are currently running an emergency appeal to help 80,000 homeless children this Christmas (follow #shelterkids for more info).

Wanting to do their bit for the homeless this Christmas, South Wales Rock 'n Rollers Rocket Joe Joe and the Old Time Bangers have recorded a charity single to help raise money. They're a covers band who put their own swing on classic 50s and 60s Rock 'n Roll, and they've worked their magic on an old Christmas song.

Their (incredibly catchy) cover of Jingle Bells is a 'pay what you want' download, meaning you can buy it for as little as 1p if that's all you can afford. All money raised goes to Shelter Cymru, and will help find homes for people without them this Christmas.

Listen to their single below. And, if you'd like to buy a copy and help the homeless, head over to https://rocketjoejoe.bandcamp.com/ :

Rocket Joe Joe and the Old Time Bangers are also playing a free festive show this Wednesday at Porter's, Cardiff (18+) where you will have the chance to donate.

That Is really nice of you to be thinking of the people who are not as fortunate as us. Over all the fuss and joy of christmas, whilst we are opening our presents, we should just stop and think. What about the people who don't have christmas dinner, or who don't have presents, and most of all don't have a family with them to help them through the struggle of seeing people walk by saying "We are going to have the best christmas ever!" or with their hands full of shopping bags filled with food and wine and all sorts of goodies,
that some people don't have.
Thanks for writing that article, that was a real eye-opener for me.
