Music lovers should prepare for Cardiff’s Biggest Weekend of the year where home grown and top international artists will grace the live music stage.

Welsh chart toppers Feeder will be headlining the event, which is taking place Friday 30th July until Sunday 1st August. The band will perform material from their new album Renegades, including their new single ‘Call Out’. Feeder said: “We are thrilled to be coming back to Wales. Our shows in Cardiff are always a blast!”

Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend takes place in the heart of the city at the civic centre and features three packed days of free music and top entertainment.

The Friday will host the latest crop of Welsh bands including The Blackout. Chaka Demus and Pliers will return to the stage on Saturday along with Pee Wee Ellis and the Funky Assembly, The Raghu Dixit Project and The Congo All-Stars. But the Sunday will bring the weekend to a magnificent close with British indie-rock band Athlete, Fenech Soler and South Wales legends, Feeder.

Traditional family attractions will be available as always as well as mind-blowing white knuckle rides for those who have the guts. There will also be a firework finale each night which will light up the city sky.

Executive Member for Sport, Culture and Leisure, Councillor Nigel Howells, said: “The three days are jam packed with top entertainment. Fingers crossed the sun will be shining on what is set to be a great event for all to enjoy.”

Admiral Managing Director, Sue Longthorn, said: "As always it has something for people of all ages and we're delighted to be sponsoring it for a seventh consecutive year.”
