Weak and weary,
Upon this desk.
Meek and bleary,
I must confess.

My eyes are tired,
My fingers ache.
I wish to retire.
I want a break.

I blankly stare
at the ticking clock.
Fused to my chair
Just one of the flock.

But now that time has come,
To get up from my seat
At last that god damn test is done,
Let's do it again next week.

Note: Written during an excruciatingly tedious History exam on the 15/6/2010. GCSE students: Don't do History at A Level. It is soul crushing.
