Dear Depression
Why do I treat you
Like a conscious being?
And talk to you as if
It makes a difference?
We play this game
You chase me
And I chase you
It's a game that
Neither of us can win.
Is it enough to know
That you won't beat me?
And do I even know that?
Is it a fact?
Do you get tired like me?
Of fighting
Or is it something
That you enjoy?
I'll fight
You'll fight
We'll dance this dance
We know so well.
Because we're both too stubborn
To give in
Both too determined
That we'll be the one
To win.

I really really liked this poem as it's something I can relate to. It's nice to know that there isn't just one sufferer in the world and we can all relate to each other. Again, I really liked this poem. Good job & keep it up :) x

Great poem, must admit it's inspired me, and it's good to hear i'm not the only one who feels my depression has become it's own person :s
