C.O.D VS HALO

In my opinion Call Of Duty is much better than Halo because you can get killstreaks* and it takes skill to call in attack dogs, chopper gunners and rolling thunder.

In Halo you get armour lock. In Halo the guns work better when you shoot them; I see people hitting each other with their guns!  In Halo you also have a sword... you wouldn't use a sword in present warfare.

Halo have only made 5 games and Call Of Duty have made 8.  And one last point about why C.O.D is so great is that there are zombies in it! Does Halo have Zombies? No.

So if you think that C.O.D is better than Halo leave your comments!

Note: Some Call Of Duty Games are certificate 18 and Halo is certificate 15.

*A killstreak is earned when a player gets a certain amount of kills in a row without dying. A killstreak will then gain the player various awards from care packages to a tactical nuke (rewarded after 25kills in a row).

Woah, hold on now. Okay everyone is entitled to their own opinion but have you even played Halo. I mean come on?

"you wouldn't use a sword in present warfare" Well sure, you wouldn't. but Halo is based years in the FUTURE. It's MEANT to be different.

And are you trying to say Halo doesn't take skill?
Sure, Armour lock is a pretty over used and overpowered armour ability but it CAN be used skillfully (Blocking Grenades etc)

Personally I like Halo because it's different. CoD is the same old pattern. Let me ellaborate... Call of Duty = Walking around... see no one... see no one... see no one... Sprint... Oh no, I'm dead.

Halo has MANY MORE game modes along with USER CREATED CONTENT.
And yes. There is infact a Zombie mode on Halo. It's Called "Living Dead"
There are also more than varients of Infection such as Infection and Alpha Zombies.

Oh and on the issue of there only being 5 Halo's?
A game doesn't need a million sequels to be good.
Has the Call of Duty storyline kept millions of gamers around the world wanting more like Halo has?
No? Didn't think so.

Now I'm not saying Call of Duty is rubbish or that it's campaign hasn't gripped players. What I am saying is that Halo's campaign has gripped A LOT MORE players.

At the end of the day which is better relies on personal choice and personally... I think Halo is better than Call of Duty.

also - should have mentioned BF3 is also an 18+ i think
but the reason i prefer COD is the series is taken from either historical or current equipment and locations etc, adding so much realism an interest for me personally,
whereas halo is futuristic in it's concept (not that is a bad thing), but appeals to a different type of gamer

I think Call of Duty is a souless, money-grabbing franchise that cares more about making money than it does making a decent game. Infinity Ward and Treyarch seem to release a new COD game every year now. They're never any better than the last, yet they charge a startling amount for a worn out storyline and a few new maps on the same old game of Nazi Zombies.

The Halo franchise until recently seemed moderately respectable. However, with a reboot of the franchise arriving soon with a new trilogy in the works, I'm already worrying that they will end up going down the same road as Infinity Ward and Treyarch. In all fairness, the original Halo franchise was quite respectable with a decent story and actual attempts by the developers to... develop, their game rather than recycle the same old trash.

However, the other games in the Halo franchise, such as Reach and Wars could easily be seen as a quick way to make money by quickly and cheapy putting a game together to just to scam their loyal, but somewhat lacking in judgement, fans.

I sincerely hope that 343 Industries (the developers on the Halo reboot) will work hard to carry on the strong level of achievement that Bungie reached with the original trilogy. Otherwise a lot of people will be let down.

So - yeah.

Halo 4 has scorestreaks and halo has had zombies for ages. COD just repeats itself but halo getts better with each new release.
