Cathays High Top Five
Let me tell you the top five things about Cathays High School.
1. The food technology room, also known as my form room. The best thing about having a food room as your form room, you can?eat things out of the fridge when the teachers aren't looking
2. Sixth Form library. Away from the younger generation, amongst people your own age, this is the life! Tap away on the computers, and the best thing, teachers hardly go in there so it's the perfect place to go if you want to hide away
3. Break time. Us Sixth Formers are finally allowed out through the back doors onto New Zealand road at break time. The best thing is that no teachers come out to supervise you, so you can go down the alleyways or?to the corner shop
4. The Common Room. Have a free lesson? This is the place to go. No-one wearing a school uniform can enter, so when you go in there, you feel as though you are in your home? apart from the bad, stale smell, the broken chairs and the occasional people playing cards, it's usually quiet.
Okay fine, I lie, it's never quiet, but it's still a nice place to go and chill, relax and?enjoy your free time. Just don't forget to take your mp3 player or laptop to keep you company
5. Teachers. Half the teachers are around the same age as us, so they are fun to be around. You get a few teachers who everyone drools over, and the odd teacher who gets on your nerves, but most of the teachers are really kind and helpful.
They stay behind after school to help you with missed coursework, even though they don't get paid for it, but they never complain, well, not to us anyway, but you never know what happens behind those staff room doors!
