On Tuesday 25 November, theSprout visited Llanrumney High School, where Year 11 were taking part in a Super Learning Day.

We thought we'd ask some of them what there was to do on the weekend. Here's what they had to say:

"In Cardiff this weekend you could go ice-skating at the Winter Wonderland. You could go to the cinema or shopping in the city centre. There is late night shopping on a Thursday. You could also go and watch Wales versus Australia in the Millennium Stadium on Saturday." -- Lauren Huntley

"There are a lot of things to do in Cardiff this weekend such as shopping, exploring and leisure activites including fishing. There are also a lot of sports played such as rugby and football; Wales aren't good at football but they are at rugby. You can go shopping in the city centre where there are loads of shops like Marks & Spencer, H&M, JD Sports, Footlocker etc. Cardiff has a lot of variety on offer so why don't you pop on down?" -- Tyrone Francis

"You should go ice-skating at the Winter Wonderland as it is almost Christmas. You will enjoy the outdoor areas and the lights, you can also meet new people. There are a great selection of rides and funfair events, as well as food areas. These places sell alcohol (including mulled wine) and pancakes, and there is also a Jacuzzi. Me and Sarah are going to stay in bed until 12-ish, get up and dressed by one-ish then set off to town for Christmas shopping. We will go for a lovely meal in Subway, where Sarah will have a meatball sub and I shall have a delicious Italian sub. After that we will carry on shopping for our friends and family. Later on in the evening we will chill at Sarah's with a scrummy Chinese meal. This will be good." -- Chloe

"On the weekend I am going to complete all my coursework and do some revision for my mock exams." -- Gareth Partridge

There are others things you can do like go down Cardiff Bay, where there is a cinema, bowling alley, swimming pool and ice rink.
