There was an extremely well deserved win for Cardiff City on Sunday when they won 3-2 against Manchester City. The home side played very well and managed to pull a win out of the bag.

After waiting 51 years for this moment the time had finally come for them to take on a team in the top flight at home.

Luck today wasn't even a factor, it was all through hard work, focus, dedication and the belief that they could get a win over Man City.

The first half finished without a goal from either side but it was a very interesting 45 minutes with great play from both sides. The home crowd was roaring with excitement throughout, which really helped the boys along in this tough game.

The second half started with a goal from Man City's Edin Džeko when he found a gap in Cardiff's defending to sneak a goal through.

Cardiff didn't give up hope, they kept at it and kept fighting, which resulted in a goal from Aron Gunnarsson who caught the rebound ball from Fraizer Campbell's first attempt at a goal.

Another two goals came from Cardiff both scored by Fraizer Campbell, one headed in and one off his shoulder. Both magnificent and well-deserved goals, which put Cardiff on top and the score 3-1 to the home side.

As the 90 minutes were up there was tension in the stadium; Six minutes of added time was given. Cardiff City supporters were holding their breath, hoping nothing would come from Man City.

Then tragedy struck as Man City's Álvaro Negredo scored; it was now 3-2. Cardiff didn't lose hope, they didn't give in and they kept fighting until that final whistle, which finally came. Cardiff had won.

Sighs of relief and cheers of joy came from all over the Cardiff City Stadium. No one has ever been prouder of their home side. Manchester City supporters were left with a gutting loss against Cardiff.

Cardiff City will keep fighting and keep believing to stay in the premiership and their fans will be there with them the whole way.
