Cardiff City claimed their ninth straight home victory of the season on Saturday 17th December 2012 against Middlesbrough, winning 1-0. This win means they are now second in the Championship table, two points behind Crystal Palace.

In the nineteenth minute, Cardiff City scored the only goal of the game, which came from a Peter Whittingham corner and was headed in by Matthew Connolly.

Connolly said, "I think Whittingham has got one hell of a left foot and he can just do what he wants."

This was all followed by some very bad calls from the referee and linesmen; the crowds chanted, "Same old English, always cheating".

Overall it was a tough game, but a well deserved victory for Malky Mackay's boys.
