Arguments

  • LOUD NOISES

A shout,
An insult,
A cry,
A punch.
And I ask,
Why?

We feel the need to puncture a heart,
Suck air from the lungs,
Make insanity in the mind.
Why?

We like seeing others weep,
Playing with lives,
Never ending in peace.
Why?

"Peace?" we say,
Who needs peace?
We don't suffer wars, they can deal with it.
Why?

We never reach out our hand,
Never admit we pushed them,
Never say it was us,
Why?

We keep secrets,
We keep them deep within,
So even when they cut us open, they find nothing,
Why?

We pass comments from ear to ear,
And they always find out,
But we carry on,
Why?
