These are five simple steps to help save the environment; they won't take up too much of your time, because honestly, what high school student has enough time to cycle to school every day?

1. Turn off lights
Turning off the lights when you leave a room or the house is probably the quickest and simplest way to save energy.

2. Unplug
Unplug or turn off chargers etc. when they are fully charged.

3. Open windows
If you are in the car and you are feeling hot, open a window instead of turning on the air conditioning, as it will use less energy.

4. Shorter showers
Shortening your shower by just one minute can save up to 700 gallons a month!

5. Turn off the tap
When brushing your teeth, turn the tap off. Again, this will save water and money.

Trust me, these take no time at all and will save money. Thanks!

Great tips. Maybe you could challenge everyone in your househld to save energy. You could then use the money that you save on an an environmentally friendly reward.
