It's officially Half Term! So, what you going to do?

If you're planning on chilling out, maxing out relaxing - here's a few things you can do at home and some events around Cardiff.

1. Make an awesome breakfast

For a whole week there will be no grabbing a dry piece of toast before you head out the door, oh no. So why not try get inventive and make some apple pancakes perhaps?

2. Catch up with family and friends

Getting in touch with your grandparents over the half term is not the worst idea ever, you never know they might feed you or give you some pocket money - who doesn't love Grandma's cakes?!

3. Popcorn and movie day

If you have some extra money I'd personally recommend you go and buy a ticket for Deadpool, which came out on Thursday (10th February 2016). However if you're strapped for cash why not grab your duvet, find the popcorn and stick on some classics?

4. Bake something

Making a good old fashioned batch of cookies or make a ton of fairy cakes that you can then spend the remainder of the day deliberating how to decorate them. I'm sure if you clean up after the mess no one minds!

5. Make something

Go crazy; make a dreamcatcher or Google how to make something useful to hold your toothbrush in. It may sound simple but once you've started using you imagination, who knows what you could come up with?!

6. Work out

If exercising is not your thing then don't panic. A Home workout is a lot different to having your gym teacher shouting at you to run. Try something relaxing like yoga or Pilates. There are loads of free tutorials online!

7. Have a tidy up!

If you've been narrowly avoiding picking your clothes up off that one chair that everyone seems to have, now is the time to act. Make tidying your room fun, put on some tunes or try picking some stuff up with your toes. Ether way this will keep you busy for a few hours at least.

8. Get a Pinterest account

You may of heard of this site before, its basically where people blog about their creative ideas. But there is some really cool stuff on there! You never know what you might find, from creating hairstyles to different types of adventures to go on. The possibilities are endless.

9. Write for theSprout

If you feel like writing creatively or maybe you have a story to tell us or maybe you just like to write for a website! Then go for it, all submissions are reviewed and we'd love to hear from you guys!

10. Plan for summer

It may seem so far away but I can assure you it will come round a lot faster than you can imagine! So why not start making plans now? Research some festivals!

WalesOnline posted a "100 things to do in Cardiff before you die" over the weekend, could be a good place to look for things to do this week? http://www.walesonline.co.uk/whats-on/whats-on-news/cardiff-bucket-list-100-things-10435409
