Bowls
Bowls can be played indoors and outdoors and the rules are the same. The aim of the game is:
- To get your bowls as close as possible to a small white ball called a 'jack'
- The jack is placed by the first bowler who rolls it to the other end of the pitch
- The players take turns to bowl. When all the bowls have been played, the direction of play is reversed
Bowls can be played in singles, pairs, triples and four-player teams and males and females can play on the same team.
More young people are becoming increasingly involved in bowls. There are numerous venues and clubs with outdoor bowls facilities in Wales.
