About this session

Many people are happy to take photographs and post them straight to Facebook, Flickr or Instagram by way of a little cropping and basic tone adjustments – or nothing at all. But to really make your work stand out, you need to explore the world of digital processing. This course is for those looking to do just that: take their digital photography to the big league by exploring some of the editing tools and techniques available to professionals and enthusiasts.

We’ll be using tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom but we’ll also take a look at what can be done with free desktop and web applications such as Google Picassa and Mac iPhoto so if your budget is tight or your computer skills limited, you shouldn’t feel this is beyond you.

This is just a short taster session to whet your appetite but it should be enough to get you rolling. If you’d like to know more, I’ll be running a paid course at Chapter from May. There’ll be a discount for Club members.

About the instructor

Craig Kirkwood is an Australian photographer now living and working in Cardiff. He’s been taking photographs around the world since the 1980s and was the Managing Director of Australia’s largest creative media training academy, Fearless Media, from 1999 to 2012 where he taught Photoshop, Lightroom and most of the other Adobe applications on a daily basis!
