"I want to move on and set up my own home but where can I go? I’m 21, living with my parents, working, but probably not earning enough to pay private landlord rents, and anyway they don’t like to rent to young people, do they? It would be great to own my own place but house prices are just too high to think about and I’ve got to pay off my student loan. Council rents are cheaper but I’m on the waiting list and they say I’m unlikely to ever be offered anything in the areas I want to be. What can I do?"
