Top Gear Will Never Be The Same

Hi Readers!

I thought I would do a follow up article about Jeremy Clarkson and the latest of what is happening to Top Gear, as I did not want to just leave the topic after I wrote that article asking for everyone to sign the petition.

Yes, as many of you will know, I am afraid that Jeremy has been sacked (although they are telling everyone that his contract will not be renewed, it is the same thing). Some of you may find this a thing to celebrate about but for us fans, it is extremely upsetting to see this legend leave the show.

After receiving over one million signatures on Change.Org, the petition was delivered to the BBC by The Stig driving a tank and was handed to a senior person in the BBC by Guido Fawkes, a political blogger who started the petition. As you can see from the video, he gives some strong words which I would definitely support as the BBC has now p***ed off over one million people! Well done BBC!

This was an amazing show and it was my favourite by far! I find the BBC's attitude towards this matter appalling, as they have now built up a Dream Team of people who they think would be good to replace the poor guy. He was an absolute legend and as many people are saying, the show will never be the same without him.

I did hear in the newspaper (Daily Mail) that the other two presenters, James May and Richard Hammond probably will not carry on presenting the show without Jeremy and that it is possible that they might restart the show together with another channel such as ITV (apparently they really want him) and I am pretty sure it said that Sky might be looking to take him on as well.

So do you stand by the fact that it's OK for somebody who is a little narked off at not being offered a steak, to punch someone else? There aren't many lines of work outside of professional boxing where you keep your job after punching someone. Along with the 'catch a n***er' incident, the 'slope' slur and the 'accidental' p***ing off of the Argentinian population re: the Falklands, I'm amazed it took the BBC that long to get rid of him.

This country seems to be erring towards the right of centre politically, so no wonder there are plenty of people up in arms about what they probably think is 'just a bit of fun'.

Completely agree with pranc_mynci.
It is NOT in anyway acceptable to punch someone, regardless of who you are. I'm looking forward to seeing who'll pick to replace the tired old team. Perhaps I'll start watching it.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion @pranc_mynci and I must say, Jeremy Clarkson is a person who likes to say stuff that everyone else is afraid to say but wants to say, and for this, I and MILLIONS of others around the world admire him for this.

Nobody is having a go at him for speaking his mind. They're having a go at him for PUNCHING SOMEONE IN THE FACE.

SamuelPatterson, maybe that was due to the lack of care and consideration by the BBC when they didn't bother to supply food after a tiring day of filming.................................

Sean123 - they did supply food, just not what Sir Jeremy of Clarksonshire wanted. It's pretty much tantamount to me coming home after a hard day at work and punching my girlfriend because she hadn't bought the pizza I like.

"Jeremy Clarkson is a person who likes to say stuff that everyone else is afraid to say but wants to say".... not everyone else, believe me. But if you think everyone else wants to act like a racist, homophobe then so be it. The number of times he has 'apologised profusely' shows how wrong his viewpoint is.

Anyway, don't feel sorry for him. His net worth is £12m, which would take most of the people that watch Top Gear 480 years to make.

@pranc_mynci, we all make mistakes in life and it is a human right to have an opinion. He has apologized, meaning that he has admitted that he has done wrong. If you are Sir Pranc of Myncinshire and you are absolutely perfect like Jesus, then well done to you!

@Readers

Just to follow up on this article, recently the news appeared that Clarkson, Hammond and May will be restarting a show on Netflix as a netflix exclusive. It will be on cars just like Top Gear, and the producer is the same one as the boys had on Top Gear. Who knows what The first season will bring? But more importantly, what will the name be, because I don't know about you, but Gear Top or Bottom Gear don't have the same jingle as Top Gear in my mind. You can just imagine it...

Clarkson: 'Hello! And welcome to the first ever episode of Bottom Gear!
We're back and so far during the production, my fist has made NO contact with anyone's body, as it seems this production team are much better at providing Hot Meals than the BBC are!'
